OK folks, clear your minds, take a deep breath, and try to follow me on this one.
John Kasich and Ted Cruz have formed an “alliance” with the goal of denying the Republican presidential nomination to Donald Trump. When I first heard this, I had visions of the back room of the bar filled with cigar smoke and a group of “political elites” deciding who the next presidential nominee will be for the Republicans. OK, I know this is probably a bit from the truth, in today’s world the “political elites” were a diverse group of men and women who were smoking electronic cigarettes.
As my mind continued to wander I went back to the early part of the century when the mob was evolving and the different gangsters were dividing the turfs. Of course very few were happy with their share of the turf, so it evolved into gang wars. Watching Cruz and Kasich divide the turf makes it appear that they feel they own us “villagers” and they can force us to do their biding. We need to send the message that we need candidates to clearly spell their agendas and let the “villagers” decide who the next presidential nominee will be.
Of course if they candidates want to continue to engage in gang wars, then perhaps they can don fedoras and give us something to chuckle about while they engage in mutual assured destruction.
